North China Pharmaceutical Group New Drug Research and Development Co., Ltd (¡°NCPC R&D¡±), located in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province in North China, was founded in 1957. The company is a subsidiary of North China Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (NCPC), owning total fixed assets of USD 14 million. With 50 years¡¯ development, NCPC R&D has become a leading pharmaceutical research and development enterprise in China, especially in microbial fermentations and organic synthesis. It is engaged in the R&D, manufacturing and sales & marketing of high quality active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and new generic finished pharmaceutical products. In 2006, NCPC R&D was appointed as the unique ¡°National Microbial Drugs engineering research center¡± by Chinese Authority Government¡¯s approval. NCPC R&D primarily targets on the fields of immunosuppressant including Cyclosporine(Ciclosporin), Tacrolimus(FK506), Sirolimus(Rapamycin), Mycophenolate Mofetil, Mycophenolic acid, Mycophenolate sodium, Mizoribine, Ascomycin(FK520), etc., and new antibiotics, such as Teicoplanin, Daptomycin, norvancomycin hydrochloride etc., and anti-fungi including amphotericin B, natamycin as well as traditional Chinese medicines.
NCPC R&D has established a well-equipped R&D team with more than 600 professional scientists and technology experts. The main building of NCPC R&D has an area of more than 11,000 sq.m and 5 multi-functional pilot plants covers an area of more than 8,000 sq.m to carry out new APIs scale up trial. Research laboratories thereof equipped with 2000 sets of advanced apparatus and instruments, of which 160 sets of imported apparatus achieve international first-class level. NCPC R&D currently is committed to discover innovative drugs to robust pipeline and the successful collaboration with academic institutions around the globe.
NCPC R&D established a rigorous and efficient quality control and quality assurance system. All of the processes in the production comply with the current GMP. The company successfully passed the validation of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and GMP for 4 formulation production workshops and API workshop.
